SUMMARY: This is a managerial position that requires a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of
production, water treatment techniques, and business management. Work deals primarily with process
management and control.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Oversee production and inventory control.
• Train and provide guidance/instruction to Production Supervisors and Maintenance Associates.
• Ensure proper daily chemical shipping and receiving.
• Ensure plant compliance with ISO quality system requirements/procedures.
• Implement Professional Growth Plan system for plant employees.
• Effect proper plant maintenance and repair via maintenance clerk.
• Advanced waste management, including a thorough understanding of WAC 173-303.
• Advanced chemical handling and spill response management.
• Intermediate level computer tasks.
• Intermediate level business management.
• Investigative research, including proper documentation thereof.
• Follow documented procedures.
• Establish and document new/revised work procedures as necessary.
• Perform cross-connection evaluations of facility potable and industrial water system.
• Must be able to travel off-site in company vehicle and physically respond to and/or remediate emergency
chemical events.

Required Experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY
• Skilled in advanced chemical handling and spill response management.
• Knowledge of basic algebra and chemistry.
• Possess intermediate level computer skills.
• Possess intermediate level business management skills.
• Able to employ investigative research procedures, including report writing and evaluation.
• Able to pay strict attention to detail.
• Able to communicate effectively.
• Able to distinguish color and odor.
• Cleared to wear respirator on a non-routine basis.
• Comfortable working in a noisy environment with large temperature variances.
• Must possess valid Washington State driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. on an infrequent basis.

Required Education

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, or other technical field required.
This requirement may be replaced by a two-year degree in a technical field and 10 year of service at CH2O, Inc.
Four years prior management experience is required.
