CH2O's DRUM RETURN AND RECYCLING PROGRAM
CH2O, Inc. is offering Empty Drum Return and Recycling Program free of charge. In order to continue offering this program at no-cost we ask that you please follow these instructions. Feel free to contact your CH2O, Inc. Field Representatives with any questions regarding this matter.
-
Separate all CH2O, Inc. containers and insure that each container has not been contaminated with any other materials. By separating these containers, it makes them identifiable for the carrier during pickup.
-
Remove all materials from inside the drum; triple-rinse and drain CH2O drums and set aside for drum pickup. If they are not empty or rinsed out – our carrier cannot transport the drums.
-
All bungs must be re-installed prior to pickup. Without bungs in place, drums cannot be picked up.
-
Keep the product label on the drum – but remove all D.O.T. hazard labels from the drum. Hazard labels must be removed before transport.
-
Fill out below linked Bill of Lading form by identifying the number of each type of drums to be returned. Attached is a Product Cross Reference Sheet of CH2O products, which are allowed to be returned. This document includes a corresponding number to their proper shipping name; this number relates to the proper shipping name, shown in the left column of the Bill of Lading form. Sign and date last page, without it your pickup cannot be scheduled.
-
On top of form, include at least two (2) onsite contact names and contact telephone numbers so that the driver is able to schedule a pickup time and locate your drums efficiently. Pickup cannot be scheduled without this information.
-
When placing your chemical orders with your Field Representative or our Order Office, just let them know that you have empty drum pickups and how many drums. If drums are in a special location or specific pick-up instructions are necessary, please inform them at this point. Note: If you are interested in having drums picked up outside your usual order, an additional fee may apply; please reach your Field Representative regarding these charges.
-
Schedule pickup time frame. Note: drum pickups happen in the afternoons.
-
The completed Bill of Lading form must be placed on or with the drums in order to be picked up, otherwise the carrier cannot pick them up. Paperwork must be made available to the pickup driver when they arrive.
Please note: Empty drum return fees for the Pacific Northwest and West Coast range from $50-70 per pickup. We take pleasure in offering this service at no charge and we ask for your assistance by following this procedure.
We look forward to assisting you!
