CH20's OXY-TROL removes oxygen in high and low-pressure boiler systems. Proper product selection depends on many variables, including system pressure and utilization, make-up and return condensate quality, and availability/quality of feedwater deaeration. OXY-TROL utilizes an advanced, catalyzed formula with superior, oxygen-scavenging capabilities. OXY-TROL is fed into the deaerator, feedwater line, or boiler. (Your CH20 representative can determine the best injection site for your system.) OXY-TROL liquids may be pumped directly from the shipping container. Powders are dissolved in water prior to pump addition to the system. Initial and periodic agitation is recommended for homogeneous distribution.

Typically, oxygen is removed through mechanical deaeration. Deaeration reduces the dissolved oxygen content to very low levels. Even at low levels, however, oxygen reacts with the system metal, causing pitting which seriously damages the system. OXY-TROL products control corrosion by reacting with oxygen in the system.
